My New TV addiction...

is Californication.

I watched the first 3 seasons online. I initially didn't think I would like it all that much but I figured hey, this guy is just bedding a bunch of hot young broads, so why not watch it? After watching the pilot episode, I knew that I was going to follow Hank Moody (David Duchovny) through all of his shenanigans. This pilot was literally the most enticing pilot I have ever watched and basically seduces you into continuing to watch the show no matter how moral you believe you are or how snobby your entertainment choices are.

I'll probably comment more on the show later, but as intriguing as the pilot episode was, the season 3 finale leaves you on a cliffhanger that rivals looking over the other side of Mt. Everest.

The New Captain America is...

Chris Evans.

I personally am satisfied by this choice. He has experience in action movies (The Losers, Cellular) as well as comic book movies (Fantastic Four), so this won't be new territory for him. My only drawback is that I will also remember him from the Banana Split scene from Not Another Teen Movie.

Hugo Weaving is slated to play the primary villian Red Skull  (love the choice)  and Alice Eve (The Ten from She's Out of My League) and Emily Blunt (Female lead from The Wolfman) are supposedly the first choices for Steve's love interest in the movie and I'd approve of either choice, but I feel that Alice Eve could pull off that 40's look easier than Emily Blunt.

The movie's title has been said to be "Captain America: The First Avenger" and then "The First Avenger: Captain America". I have a good feeling that only one of these two halves will be included in the final movie title and since this is suppose to be the story of Steve's origins, I hope they drop the The First Avenger from it and just go with Captain America. Let him have his own lime like Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk did. Whenever they do a second Captain America (which is inevitable given the 9 picture deal that Evans had to agree to in order to be Cap), I think the studio can channel their inner Christopher Nolan and go with the The First Avenger title.

Big Love Quotes 2

"Why are you worried about another man's cardigan? You're married".
"He was really scary mommy. All Baptists are honey."

Big Love Quotes

Just a couple of quotes I thought were funny/interesting from Big Love:

"That's when I became my own grandmother".
"We are more than a corporation, we're a religion".

South Park Returns

Season 14 of South Park starts tonight at 10 pm. First episode is going to focus on rich sex addicts. In other news, Tiger Woods is pissed off at Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

So after some deliberation, I have decided to start my own blog regarding the movies and television shows that I watch. Some of postings will be about news regarding future movies and television shows while others will be about the movies and films themselves. I'll probably post a few tidbits of news each day along with my thoughts on them and I will most likely post random thoughts about the shows I am watching as they come to me. I have decided to start now as more and more movies I am interested in are starting to trickle into theaters and my regular shows are returning for their spring session. Well this concludes my first of hopefully many posts.
